The Development Loan Guarantee supports higher-risk agricultural projects with growth and profitability potential, including start-ups, expansions, and businesses in emerging sectors. It guarantees development loans of up to $1,000,000 per farm operation. Eligible applicants must be at least 18 years old, reside in Québec, have a farm business owned at least 50% by active farmers, demonstrate profit potential, and comply with Québec environmental and agricultural regulations.
